INformation Systems Integrated by using Global Hypermedia Technology October 1994 - 1996
Objective(s)	To set up information systems based on hypermedia technology (World Wide Web) in Central and Eastern European countries. More specifically: The setting up of at least one operational WWW service in each participating country; The creation of a set of information concerning research activities; The promotion and support of the setting up of other servers as part of a distributed information service on research and related topics; The preparation of a well-documented installation procedure for the most commonly used platforms (web server and client); The setting up of basic promotional material in the national languages.
Achievements	Strong growth in the number of web information servers in CEE countries. Dissemination of expertise. Technology transfer.
Milestones	October 1994: start of project. January 1995: First participants' meeting. July 1995: INSIGHT Workshop. November 1995: NATO Advanced Networking Workshop On World Wide Web, in collaboration with INSIGHT Project - Budapest, Hungary.
